What is Educofa?
Educofa is school management software built for schools and colleges. It brings enrolment, attendance, marks and results, fees and a parent and student portal into one system, so the same record answers every question.
Is it only for nursing and health colleges?
No. It was shaped first by a health training college, which is the most demanding case, and the same system is set up for basic schools, senior high schools and TVET institutes. Terms or semesters, classes or programmes, and grading scales are settings your school chooses.
Can parents and students pay fees with Mobile Money?
Yes. A payer can settle an invoice online, and the receipt and the new balance appear straight away. The bursar can still record cash and bank payments by hand.
Will it work on a phone and on a slow connection?
Yes. Educofa is a web app that fits a phone screen and can be installed on the home screen like an app. Pages are kept light, because data costs money.
Do parents hear from the school?
Guardians are told about an absence by SMS the same day. They can also sign in at any time to see each child’s attendance, results and fee balance.
Who can see our students’ records?
Only the people you give a role to. Each school is separated from every other school in the database itself, staff see only the classes that are theirs, and changes to marks and payments are recorded against the person who made them.
We already keep marks in Excel. Do we have to start again?
No. You can import students and marks from a spreadsheet, so the work you have already done comes with you.
